— some employees of educational programs have been without income for five months

📢 On November 5 a protest march of workers of additional educational programs of the Ministry of Education took place in Nicosia.

🚶‍♂️ The participants marched from the Ministry of Finance to the Presidential Palace with the slogans “We will never stop!” and “We demand recognition of our length of service!”.

💶 According to the trade unions, hundreds of employees have faced problems with employment and payments. Some have already not received a salary for five months and cannot apply for unemployment benefits.

⚠️ From Monday the workers are holding an indefinite strike, demanding the fulfillment of labor guarantees and the resolution of payment problems.

📩 The protesters appealed to President Nikos Christodoulides with a request to personally intervene in the situation and organize a meeting.

The educators state that they will continue the struggle until the problem is resolved.
