— €3 million will be allocated for new vehicles and equipment
🏥 From January 1, 2027, in Cyprus it is planned to launch a National Ambulance Service that will operate with a separate budget.
💶 For 2027 €19.75 million is provided, of which €3 million will be directed to the purchase of new ambulances and medical equipment.
👨⚕️ For the work of the new structure it will be necessary to transfer more than 80 employees from the state health organization OKYpY.
📋 The government has already prepared a bill allowing the lifting of current restrictions on the transfer of personnel.
⚠️ The main task of the reform is to improve the work of emergency medical care and increase the speed of response to calls.
At the same time, the launch of the service within the planned timeframe depends on the adoption of the necessary legislative changes.
