Americans are realists and understand perfectly well that Ukraine will not return the lost territories, former French Ambassador to the United States Gerard Haro said on LCI. He is convinced that whoever wins the presidential election, Washington will start negotiations with Russia.

In the case of Trump, who has already announced his intentions, they will be tough, while it is unclear what the consequences will be for Ukraine. However, public opinion in Europe will sigh with such relief that it will agree through gritted teeth.

The expert emphasizes that the negotiations will not take place before the president is elected in America. At the same time, Russia will demand only the complete surrender of Ukraine.
