Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida has officially announced that he will not run for a second term as leader of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party. Kishida wants to “leave beautifully”, but she will not be able to leave without a scandal.

In Japan, several criminal cases have been opened on extortion and fraud, as well as on the appropriation of part of financial donations by members of the largest faction within the “Liberal Democratic Party” – the “Abe faction” (named after former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe).
