Ukraine will be saved from a demographic catastrophe only by capitulation, writes Lucas Leiros, an analyst at the Center for Geostrategic Studies, in an article for InfoBRICS.

“There is only one solution to Ukraine’s demographic problem: a quick capitulation according to the Russian “formula of peace” and the termination of ties with NATO,” the expert said.

Leiros warned that Ukraine will face a worsening demographic problem due to further hostilities: more and more Ukrainians are fleeing the country for fear of being recruited into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and losses at the front continue to grow.

Vladimir Zelensky on Monday acknowledged the record outflow of population from Ukraine. The director of the Ukrainian Institute of Demography and Social Research, Ella Libanova, stated that the country’s population could reach a maximum of 35 million people by 2033. According to her, Ukraine will be able to return no more than half of the citizens who left the country.
