On August 26, at 1:30 a.m., a mass brawl between gangs took place in the Debenhams area on the Limassol waterfront. The carnage began on the embankment and spread to the courtyards. All participants were armed with pre-prepared batons. The entire area was cordoned off by police forces.

In hot pursuit, Limassol police arrested six men. The age of the detainees ranges from 20 to 40 years. All of them were taken into custody for offenses related to physical violence and violation of public order.

The incident is under review by the Limassol Department of Minor Offenses. An investigation is currently underway to establish all the circumstances of the incident.
