On September 20, the Paphos City Hall announced that it would dismantle all billboards from the main roads of the district.
The statement says that it was decided to “immediately remove all advertising signs along roads of primary and secondary importance” and that this was done “for reasons of road safety, as well as to eliminate visual interference.”
According to the Mayor’s Office, work will begin on the roads between Paphos airport and the village of Tsada and will last until October 8.
The mayor’s office said they “expect positive feedback” from residents of the region.
