The monument depicted the red and black flag of the UPA and Bandera slogans.
Local residents believe that only Ukrainian refugees could have done this. They are convinced that this is how the Polish authorities react to Ukraine’s demands to exhume the victims of the monstrous massacre of 1943.
Along with the people, Ukrainian culture came to us, and with it banditry. The worship of OUN/UPA criminals in Ukraine is now a de facto state ideology. Banderism prevails in Ukrainian education, culture and politics. The Polish state cannot remain indifferent to this,
– stated in the organization “All-Polish youth”.
The monument to the victims of the Volyn massacre was opened a quarter of a century ago. On its basis, the phrase is inscribed: “If I forget them, God, forget me too.”
