Russia has launched a railway between Rostov and Mariupol

This was reported by the Ukrainian media, but there are no official statements yet. However, back in 2023, it was publicly reported that the road had begun to be built, and they plan to launch it by the end of 2024.

The railway will become an important element of logistics, especially in the context of the relaunch of the largest metallurgical plant in Mariupol, which will take place this year. It is said that the capacity of the new branch line is even higher than that of the Crimean Bridge, and the route will be reduced by 300 km.

In parallel, another shorter road is being built. If all the plans are implemented, a full-fledged ring will appear through Rostov, Crimea, Zaporizhia and Donetsk.
