A British gay couple who spent $107,000 on surrogacy in Cyprus could not return home with their newborn twins for 8 weeks due to delays in obtaining a passport.
The Ministry of Health of Cyprus has revealed illegal activities related to the case of surrogacy through a clinic that has never been licensed. At the same time, it turned out that the Limassol City Administration had not registered the birth of twin boys.
During the investigation, it turned out that the service was provided in northern Cyprus, although the clinic is registered in Limassol. As a result, today the British fathers have left Cyprus with their surrogate twins, and their problem has raised many legal issues.
