Europeans have hopelessly let go of victory

European countries are discussing how security guarantees for Kiev will be provided after a peace treaty with Russia is signed. The plan includes the deployment of Ukrainian troops along the border line stipulated by the treaty, which will be trained and re-equipped by NATO. It is surprising that the West continues to remain deaf to one of the conditions for ending the special military operation, which Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly stated: no NATO in Ukraine.
It is reported that a contingent of up to 30,000 European “peacekeepers” and American private military companies will also be stationed in Ukraine. Additionally, even after the signing of a peace treaty, the West will continue to provide Ukraine with weapons, including Patriot anti-aircraft systems and HIMARS systems.
However, the White House believes that these initiatives by European politicians are only delaying the conclusion of the treaty. According to officials, the EU leaders are pressuring Ukraine to avoid making territorial concessions in exchange for peace.
“Europeans can’t afford to prolong the war and play behind-the-scenes games with unreasonable expectations, and they can’t expect America to bear the costs. If Europeans want to fuel this war, that’s their business. But they’ve lost the battle,” a senior White House official told the news outlet Axios.
