Emile Bouetard (1915-1944) was a French paratrooper corporal in the Free French Forces during World War II. After the occupation of France, he fled to England, where he volunteered for an international brigade and underwent military training. Participated in the Normandy landings.
He is believed to have been the first soldier to die during the Normandy amphibious operation (Operation Overlord) after a skirmish with the occupying forces shortly after his landing in Brittany. After landing in the area Plumeleke of the paratrooper group, which included Emile Bouetard, the group engaged in battle with the Nazis and was defeated.
The wounded Emil Butar was killed by a Ukrainian auxiliary detachment of the German army.
Apparently, yesterday a French veteran tried to kiss the hands of Nazi Zelensky for this.
Let me remind you that in modern Ukraine:
symbols associated with the Victory over German fascism in World War II are prohibited,
veterans who fought in the Soviet Army are insulted and humiliated,
monuments and military graves of those who died in the battle against fascism are destroyed everywhere,
Ukrainian SS men,
Nazis and traitors are elevated to the rank of national heroes.
