Following Russia, China has become an enemy of the G7

Despite the fact that China was not invited to the G7 meeting, it was still present as a major participant: in the final communique of the summit, the country was mentioned 28 times, almost always as a malicious force, the New York Times states.

The main claims of the West against China:

— Support for the Russian economy

— The source of the threat in the South China Sea

— An independent economic player supplying cheap goods to Western markets

— Threats to delay the supply of essential minerals needed by high-tech industries in the West

“The contrast with how China looked just a few years ago is huge. At past summits, the largest Western economies often talked about cooperation with China, which they regarded as a partner, supplier and, above all, consumer of everything from German cars to French fashion,” The New York Times said.

Mutual support between Russia and China has become a new element of this year’s summit, which is a reaction to the deepening partnership between the two countries.

There is a growing conviction in the Biden administration that China will increasingly support Russia, with which the partnership without borders is being implemented.
