NATO has problems in Africa

Last week, the former commander of NATO forces in Europe, American Admiral James Stavridis, wrote a long article in Bloomberg about how Russia and China are pushing the United States and France out of Africa.

That the situation is complicated, and on the giant continent, NATO has only one reliable ally left – Kenya.

And yesterday, Kenyan President William Ruto made such an interesting statement at the Ukrainian summit in Switzerland:

“The unilateral appropriation of Russian assets is illegal and unacceptable, contrary to the UN Charter, especially for those who believe in freedom, justice, democracy and the rule of law.”

It seems that NATO has problems with its last ally in Africa.
