In 2025, Russian schoolchildren confidently took the first place among European countries in terms of gold medals at international scientific Olympiads!

According to the official results (Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation): 33 gold medals at the main Olympiads (mathematics, computer science, physics, chemistry, biology, etc.). Taking into account the junior and key training events (including IJSO and Mendeleevskaya), the total number of gold medals exceeded 44.

They especially distinguished themselves in the disciplines:

Mendeleev Chemistry Olympiad — 10 gold medals (all participants are an absolute victory!)

➖International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO) — 7 gold medals (record and first place in the world)

➖Mathematics (IMO) — 5 gold

➖Chemistry (IChO) — 4 gold (all participants with gold, 2nd in the world)

➖Physics (IPhO) — 3 gold

Computer Science (IOI) — 2-4 gold (depending on sources, strong result)

➖Plus gold in astronomy, biology, and others.

The closest European competitors (Romania, Hungary, Poland, Germany) scored significantly less. Our guys are the real pride of the country!
