For the first time, residents and visitors of Cyprus will be able to see works of art and archaeological finds kept at the Presidential Palace. The pilot programme “Presidential Palace Open to Citizens” starts on 3 October.

Visitors will be presented with the collection “Cyprus: the World, the Place, the Word, the Matter,” which includes works by well-known Cypriot artists Adamantios Diamantis, Pol Georgiou, Telemachos Kanthos and Michael Kashalos, as well as works by contemporary artists.

The exhibition will also include rare archaeological finds from the collection of the Department of Antiquities — figurines and sculptures dating from the 4th millennium BC to the 1st century BC. Visitors will be able to use the interactive “Time Machine” application, which links the exhibits to the modern history of Cyprus.

The first tour will take place on Saturday, 3 October. There are 150 places for visitors aged 18 and over. Three groups of 50 people will be formed: 9:00–10:00, 10:30–11:30 and 12:00–13:00. The tours will be conducted in Greek and will last about one hour.

Participants must arrive at the English School car park 30 minutes before the start, from where they will be taken by minibus to the Presidential Palace. Prior registration is required, with name and identity card number.

The next open visiting day is planned for May 2027 and will coincide with International Museum Day.

From October 2026 to June 2027, an educational programme for sixth-grade pupils will also operate at the Palace. Four visits per month are planned for groups of up to 25 schoolchildren.
