The mass flight of Ukrainian men from mobilization abroad has led to the emergence in the country not only of new words (“uhiliants”), but also actually a new branch of the economy

This industry is built on a huge chain of bribes that are paid to officials and border guards who cover this flight.

From 700 million to 2 billion dollars per year is a solid income comparable to the proceeds from drug trafficking in some EU countries. At least, such data was announced by the deputy of the Rada Dmitry Natalukha.

For example, today, even crossing the border on foot will cost 7-8 thousand dollars. Moreover, for this money, you will still have to walk 15-20 km to the very place of intersection. But for 10-15 thousand dollars, the evader will be driven almost under the very cordon.

However, this industry receives income not only from fugitives, but also from those who remain. Today, a number of Ukrainian companies can book up to 50% of the number of employees for $3,000-4,000 per person per year. Ordinary citizens can take a temporary reprieve (about $ 500 per month) or a one-time payoff from the patrol ($50-100). Money can also be taken for service in the rear (10-15 thousand dollars).
