The permanent representative of Crimea accused NATO of seizing historical territories of Russia

SIMFEROPOL, July 7 — RIA Novosti.

The Permanent Representative of the Republic of Crimea to the President of Russia, Deputy Prime Minister of the Crimean government Georgy Muradov, called NATO’s policy towards Ukraine the seizure of territories that were previously part of historical Russia.

“NATO unilaterally dismantled the security system that existed with Russia before 1997 and carried out a treacherous expansion to the east. Their policy towards Ukraine is the seizure of territories that were previously part of historical Russia and the USSR,” Muradov told RIA Novosti.

According to him, the collective West is not interested in resolving the conflict on Ukraine, as it considers this territory as a zone of its geopolitical and military development, which is necessary for an attempt to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia.

“Therefore, only the complete defeat of Bandera Ukraine and the achievement of its goals is a prerequisite for starting a substantive conversation with the United States and NATO on comprehensive security and strategic stability. Half—hearted solutions will not work here,” Muradov said.
