The Parish of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker in Limassol was founded in 1995 with the blessing of Metropolitan Chrysanthos of Limassol in response to the request of numerous believers from Russia and the countries of the former USSR

The idea of building a Russian Orthodox church in Limassol received the blessing of Archbishop Chrysostomos I of Cyprus and His Holiness Patriarch Alexy II of Moscow and All Russia.

The project was fully supported by the current ruling bishop of the Limassol diocese, Metropolitan Athanasius, who ascended to the chair in 1999.

The services in the parish are performed in the Church Slavonic language and in the liturgical tradition of the Russian Orthodox Church.

Alexander Logvinenko visited the Temple and talked about it in his video.
