A higher artillery command school was opened in the Kirovsky district on the basis of the former training center for Missile forces and artillery. 3 thousand people will study there and the same number will work there.

The educational and material base includes academic buildings, classrooms with educational and training facilities; a sports complex with a swimming pool, a stadium, an obstacle course, a gymnastics campus, and a hand-to-hand combat area. In addition, we are talking about a training ground, a shooting range, as well as a combat training camp for specialists in artillery reconnaissance, anti-tank artillery, rocket and barrel artillery, and mortar commanders.

The revival of the school is an important event for the Armed Forces. In recent years, only one educational institution in Russia has trained artillery officers – the Mikhailovsky Academy in St. Petersburg. Now there are two such centers.
