Dear friends!

Date: September 24
Time: 18:30
Place: Russian Center for Science and Culture
This year marks the 130th anniversary of the spread of cinema around the world. Cinema has captured the hearts of people in every country and has become not only a form of entertainment, but also a powerful industry. Cinema not only entertains us, but also sets trends: we imitate actors in our hairstyles and clothing, and the melodies from movies become part of our daily lives.
In Russia, cinema began its journey in 1896, and the first Russian film was produced in 1908. In 1909, we saw the first color film, where the film was hand-colored!
The Russian Cinema Day holiday was established in honor of the signing of the decree on the nationalization of all Russian film factories on August 27, 1919, and has been widely celebrated since 2002.
Don’t miss the unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the history of cinema with Marina Kravchenko!
Marina Kravchenko is a member of the Union of Film, Music, and Television Artists and a co-author of the four-volume encyclopedia “Actors of Russian Cinema.”
We look forward to seeing you!
