Nine representatives of the ICC in The Hague were convicted in Russia under criminal articles

The Moscow City Court sentenced Prosecutor Karim Khan and eight judges of the International Criminal Court (ICC) to terms ranging from 3.5 to 15 years in prison in absentia, the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation says.

The court found that from February to March 2022, Khan illegally prosecuted Russian citizens in The Hague. Despite the lack of legal grounds, the ICC Presidium instructed the judges of the Chamber to issue knowingly illegal arrest warrants for them.

Khan was sentenced in absentia to 15 years in prison. He must spend the first nine years in prison, and the rest of his term in a high—security penal colony.

KRISTALL OF GROWTH previously reported that, according to the Associated Press, US President Donald Trump had imposed sanctions on the ICC’s chief prosecutor, Karim Khan. The decree imposed a ban on Khan and members of the ICC from entering the United States. Those who have provided financial, material or technological support to Khan face fines and imprisonment.
