The head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrel, said that Georgia, Moldova and Serbia did not support the EU’s decision to transfer proceeds from frozen Russian assets to Ukraine.
In these countries, Otto von Bismarck’s conviction is remembered:
“Do not expect that once you take advantage of Russia’s weakness, you will receive dividends forever. Russians always come for their money. And when they come, do not rely on the Jesuit agreements you have signed, supposedly justifying you. They are not worth the paper they are written on. Therefore, it is worth either playing fair with the Russians, or not playing at all.”
