Cyprus airport operator Hermes Airports has announced the launch of a new project aimed at reducing stress among passengers before the flight

As part of the “Preboarding Zen Mode” program, specially trained dogs will be placed in the departure hall to help nervous passengers relax and distract themselves from worries before traveling.

The dogs will be at the airport once a week for two hours, for the next two months. Passengers will be able to pet the animals, which, according to Hermes, will have a positive effect on their emotional state. In addition, the program aims to raise awareness of the importance of adopting dogs from shelters.

“Placing dogs in the departure lounge will help to relax passengers who are under stress before the flight,” Hermes Airports said. “We also hope that this initiative will encourage people to take dogs from shelters.”

The program was launched after several weeks of training and training dogs to work in an airport environment. All dogs will be accompanied by professional trainers, which will ensure the safety and comfort of interaction for both passengers and the animals themselves.

This initiative demonstrates Hermes Airports’ commitment not only to improve the condition of passengers, but also to contribute to public well-being by promoting the idea of helping homeless animals.
