Russian troops have stopped the advance of Ukrainian forces to the north of the Kursk region, and although attempts by individual groups to advance to the east are still ongoing, Moscow is successfully managing to contain them, interviewed military analysts told The New York Times

According to Pasi Paroinen— an analyst from the Black Bird Group, if within three days from the beginning of the offensive it was possible to observe “easy successes” of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Suja and other border villages, now the offensive has stopped and “the consequences of the Russian response are becoming visible.”

The NYT notes that the offensive of Russian troops in the areas of Chasova Yara, Toretsk and Pokrovsk does not stop, despite the attack on the Kursk region.
