Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine detained on a bribe of half a million dollars — Bloomberg

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine has announced the detention of the Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine on suspicion of bribery and disclosure of his illegal scheme related to the transfer of mining equipment, Bloomberg writes.

According to NABU, in exchange for $500 thousand, the deputy minister, whose identity was not disclosed, offered the state coal mining company in the east of Ukraine and the state coal mine in the west of the country to freely transfer equipment from the mines of the frontline area. The official was caught in Kiev when he received one of five contributions in the amount of $ 100,000 dollars, Bloomberg reports.
