In the capital, 102 percent more high-tech products were produced in the first half of 2024 than in the same months last year. The city supports the development of knowledge-intensive industries, so they traditionally show growth.

Among the most dynamically growing categories there are semiconductor devices, the production of which increased 2.1 times over the year, computers and their components — 4.7 times and communication technology – 6 times.

In total, 300,000 people work in Moscow in the field of research and development (R&D) of this industry, which is 35% of all specialists in the country.
